All set to knock heavens door
But will it open?
Only if I know
I can knock with verve
Untill I do
I will suffer this pain
That eats my insides
Every waking hour and day
Is this sky within my reach?
Only if I know
I can spread my wings
Untill I know
You wont clip my feathers
I will stay in this cocoon and live forever
When I touch that soft place
I bulit in your heart
Can you still hear the melody
Or has it broken apart
Tell me now
I shall knock and wait forever
Oh what cruel joy this wait would bring
But untill I know
I shall simply suffer this pain
that eats my inside
every waking hour and day

More Haikus .......
Poverty
Days without wages
Sleepless
"my hunger"

Solitude
Uninhabitated desert
alone stood
the lonely tree

Haikus between 4 and 8
Because of youWhat magic did you work on me?
Every poem I write is about you
Surprised
This love is a crazy feeling
Made a skeptic like me cry
What is love? They told me love is poisonous
“Lunatics”
I said
They said Love is sweet
Taste it, I did
Please do not ask me
What love is?
Cause
A broken heart in an empty shell
Is what is I am today!
InjusticeWhat the hell kind of justice is this?
You are the one who robbed my heart
And I am the one sentenced
For life!
Heaven
I was knocking on heavens door
Not knowing
It was in his arms I felt bliss
No more stampsDear love
Do not paste stamps
To the letters you send
The letters that bear your fragile heart
Cannot stand the thump of the seal
KissThe virgin rain falling on me
Reminds me of the wetness of your first unexpected kiss on my tender lips
Fool in loveI think of you
Every single moment
I see your face
Everywhere I turn
All roads I take
Leads me one step closer to you
Everything is glorious my love
As long as your thoughts
Fill my foolish head
Memory of your smileI feel weighed down with love
The day you moved into my heart
My day seems longer
Since I lost sleep over you
My heart beats faster
For a glimpse of your face
Put me out of misery
If only for a day
Dearest one of my choice,
Please come in my dreams
And caste a smile
Once, just once
I promise to write a poem
And wait patiently for your next arrival
Cherishing the memory of your smile in my heart
Circus net’s dance
Fell down
The little spider
Song on radio
Old man’s taps his feet
Will it stop?
Swings as wind blows
On the paddy’s edge
The frightened centipede
Heard of hair smelling of scented flowers
But this flower carries the scent of your hair
How delightful!
Widowed sky
With wedding next day
Crescent moon
Need to comb my hair
Beloved
Show me your face!
Fed his goat
Not for love
But for meat!

SCARS OF DEPARTURE
I am grown peaceful like an old woman tonight
not with age but with wisdom bright
gone are the days I dreamed of my knight
like a blind warrior with an opponent to fight
it is an ode my friend to you
for there can be no love in my life but his
by the starlit night
dear is the memory of that sweet night
silhoutted in the sands by the moonlight
how sweet it were hearing the downstream
with half shut eyes and half a dream
to hear each others whispered words
making wishes which are never to be heard
let us alone!time is driving fast
let us alone!what is that would ever last
let us alone!what pleasure can we have
to war with cupid!nay his arrows are rare
while all things rest in peace
all things rest
why should we toil at this restless pace
for a search which has no end
happiness courses through me
to see ecstacy in your eyes
the key to joy is your love
I know now where it lies
by daylight
why linger, why turn back, why hesitate my heart
myhopes are gone with light;dont hesitate depart
please pause!as my graves of love are all too young
to have outgrown the sorrow of our days
my questions answered my queries enlightened
hopeless i feel as i lamentmy scars of departure
but here is my answer to the lovessick crowd
what and where does love exist?
this light this glory this fair luminous mist
save to be pure at the purest hour
love my friennd is the clearest spirit and thegreatest power
a new heaven!a new earth!
undreamt of lust with shades no cover
there was a time when though my path was rough
this love within me dialled to distress
and all misfortunes were but as the stuff
when love gave me dreams of happiness
for hope grew round me like a twining wine
wher the fruits of love, not my own seemed mine
but this departure has bowed me down to earth
for love is not desire but delight comeforth
but oh!every experiennce results in learning
suspends what nature gives to you at birth
my shaping spirit of imagination
but dear friend, devoted one of my chhoic
ei shall tell a secret to you, only you,
so dare not makeany noise
love is sweet, love is joy
with light heart she may rise
love lifts your spirit, love attunes your life
so find love for love is life
but now iam grown peaceful like an old woman tonight
not with age but with wisdom bright
gone are the days i dreamed of my knight
like a blind warrior with an opponent to fight
it is a sad tale my dear friend
but i wish for a a new beggining of your own
remember ther can be no love in my life but for his

What I want
I want extreme loneliness without a word a sound
A world with no war but peace
A heart with no desires no wants
A relationship with no expectations
A life that my age deserves
Some affection for its own sake
Love and lust that doesn’t die with youth
Borderless realm of imagination
Dew drops on every blade of grass
The grass to be my bed where my head rests at night
A heart that listens to my mind
Eyes that sleep like a child
Lover’s fingers ruffling through my hair
Nightingales lullaby sweetly drift in the air
A shore to wet my weary legs
A place that I could call my home
To hold the moonlight in my palm
Pluck the stars and string a song
To sleep with no worries
To dream a hundred happy thoughts
Immortality for flowers and trees
For mankind to have one big heart
Language for birds and beast
Sudden bursts of showers on my naked body
Thousand moons in a single sky
A Heaven on earth during my mortal life
To grow in thought acts and deeds
Bursts of words in a fire of poetry
The freedom like the air I breathe
Wings to fly and conquer the sky
Knowledge beyond age and time
To be the first snow drop on the bark of a tree
To be the first woman to have experienced conjugal bliss
To be a bee and live inside a flower
To dance to the beat of pouring rain
Lips that could smile forever
The sun to b a dew drop for a day
The dew drop to the a sun for a night
Wages for a hard days work
To buy a meal with it for a nameless vagabond
Shoulders that could bear sorrows
A heart that could stand betrayals
A mind that could be controlled at will
Patience that could not be lost
A body that dies at my will
Eyes that could detect evil
Legs that could carry me beyond time
Small defeats in life
Smaller wounds that would heal
Faces without masks
Smiles without hypocrisy
A mother to hold my hands when I crawl
Dad and dolls when I learnt to walk
Books to read when Iam five
A pen to hold as my sixth finger
A stranger’s kindness to make me feel wanted
I want this Life to stop cheating from giving everything I want
Death to conquer what life’s taken
A six foot coffin with some holes to breathe
A sepulcher saying “here lays the woman of wants”.
A world with no war but peace
A heart with no desires no wants
A relationship with no expectations
A life that my age deserves
Some affection for its own sake
Love and lust that doesn’t die with youth

MY LAST GOODBYE
You heard the record the same old one
Every single day
Smoking like a chimney pot
Into the ashtray
A dog eared copy of salinger lying on your lap
You reeked of sweat and everything stale
As you entered into a nap
I shut the door, slammed it loud and said my last goodbye
You just didn’t stir, nor move a limb knowing it’s a lie
I hate myself for being me
This sad , broken soul
Its not him , Its not you, its all about me
I know this just isn’t right
But baby let me be
Hard to tell, sad to hear,
Its plain crazy
You hang around with the hip crowd every single night
Go with them in their beaten truck
While I lie here all alone
You know its been five long years
Of a big one night stand
Too many doubts, too much guilt
I am uncomfortably numb.
Stupid nothings, rock and roll, jokes that a’int funny
But I guess I know if I cross the line
You wont be there honey
I hate myself for being me
This sad , broken soul
Its not him , Its not you, its all about me
I know this just isn’t right
But baby let me be
Hard to tell, sad to hear,
Its plain crazy
We fight about bad theories, grammar and rhyme
Your work gets six days and Sunday is mine
Yes I remember the funky joint packed with a hundred heads
Metal lovers, banging their heads to some pseudo intellect crap
I sit with you with a glass wine, while you talk and scream aloud
You say “come baby lets join them” the happening maddening crowd
Cronies along with a couple of drinks you are all set to go
On a trip at my expense as your friends laugh and cheer
Keep a straight face, it ought to end
Or is it just the beginning
Clock strikes twelve. The crowd yells more
Oh death! it’s a long long night
Finally I take the tab cause there is nothing else to do
But a wave of self-indignation passes through
And I scream aloud and say my last goodbye
While u sit there with that drunken smirk
Knowing I’ll be back.
