Silent in love

Monochromatic cyber dreams
race through my mind
weaving disturbing visions
of you and me
Causing vague anxiety that stretches through the day
Unreal as it may seem
Hypnotised I am, with this web you weave
my reason dulled by the magic of your words
Only you can rescue me from my own destruction
Only your words can heal me when I am at my lowest
But if all I feel is true and real
Why am I silent in love ?

It was a time my love
Of thunder showers and rains
Drenched, we walk side by side
Longing to come closer
Yet painfully shy
How we stood under the tree
That sprinkled water roots to the ground
Like strangers
Not saying a word
Trying hard to silence the wild beat of our hearts
We stood trembling under that broken umbrella
That showered stray flowers like welcoming poems
Just then,
I glance at you and your eyelids droop
I do the same , you pretend to look away
We repeat this time and again
Back and forth
But the path of words
Were tightly glued by silence
I notice raindrops trickling down your pale face
Hand you my kerchief
Imagining it to be a cloth of gold
You timidly take it from my hands
Wipe your face
And hand it back to me
I find some courage finally
And ask you slyly for some way to keep it from drying….
You chuckle quietly!

How you looked so beautiful in rain
Oh yes! That was a time my love
Of thunder showers and rains

Vision in white rain

Delicate ashes, the rain
Falling softly over the deep green fields,
Yonder flies the crane
Away down the valley
Away down the hills
Flying over the heads
Of little men
With big umbrellas
Hurrying past the old mill
To their pretty little mud castles

That’s when I saw you my love
Sitting hunched near the mountain stream
Your face adorned with
Pearl drops of rain
Crying silently
That rainy morning
Looking oh-so-woe-be gone
My little peasant nymph
What ails your heart?
I’d never know
But every time I pass this way
And the sky is grey and the grass is wet under my feet
I think of you my little urchin
As those delicate ashes
Fall all over me

yes I still dream of that vision of you in white rain

Haiku....

Around-the-clock lightening and thunder
In the oil wells
-Iraq war

Lines are pictures too….

Soft flowers don’t browse my feet
Just Prickly thorns
But I wipe the blood
And walk away
Cool breeze of the west
Don’t pass my way
Just polluted air
That makes my lungs turn
Black like sheets of carbon
But I breathe the fumes
Anyway…
The year long fury of the
Big red sun
has burnt my umbrella
So I walk long distance
With only the shade of my shadow
To guide my way
Eagles circle around my head
Day after day
As I crawl with bare hands
Barely alive
But not yet dead
With one hand
I cover my defenseless body
With the other
I weave clothes
Today-
These banks may be in awe with my new rise in tides
But this river
Has come down squeezing its way
Through countless desert rocks
Mixing tears of pain
Along its path
These seeds have grown
By hitting the hard rock
Over and over again
And today I cannot be consoled
With the flowers that vine over my wounds
I live in isolation from this society
Recluse you may call me
Is biography an account on an individual’s life?
Or is it answer seeking society’s
Whole address?
Music made from torment is
From the rattle of my memory stream
My pens nib
Donating blood to my
Crushed hopes and dreams
Here I haven’t said some truths
Is the truth
But
Everything said is nothing but the truth
Came here to
Draw a picture
But my canvas has only few lines
But lines are pictures too..
Taught me lives greatest lesson
The Gift of love
As I learnt this
I feel a heavy weight on my shoulders
Oh! Its nothing ...
Just the stoop of years gone by!

Love song from him...

He wrote a song about his love for me
It was moving enough for me to walk over and squeeze his hand
I told him his beautiful words would stay in my heart forever
and the tune in my head,
He sang the song in a soft low tone,
Of his unadulterated , pure and ever lasting love for me
somewhere during the midst of his crooning
I spotted the bruises on my torso
Ouch! the gift of his love,
my butchered body..

Scattered Truths

Phoney imposters
everywhere we turn
Houses
Streets
Hearts
Even the shadow of the truth
Looms large on the deserted walls
Causing dread in the minds of the once fearless
The search for adventure long gone
Crushed, defeated, humiliated , broken
is the spirit of our times
Drowning in the mindless vortex
of second handed practices
We are children of the doomed
crawling through some meaningless maze of life
What remains is the butchered , pieces of scattered truth
of an unforseen collision.
